the San Diego beach. It is, in fact,
the living room. But with its stark
white walls and severe highroom

backed black metal chairs, and a
curious "brain" sculpture that sits
at its center, with tubes and neon
and rubber hoses falling out of it,
the room would seem to belong in
a

contemporary art museum - or
else a garage sale.
