Pulse Generator
A low cost pulse generator
has been announced by ModuSystems
for stepper motors. The Model PG-1000
works with standard drivers and motors
and provides pulses for controlling
motor speed. Both start/stop and for¬
ward/reverse capabilities are included
using momentary or maintained switch
inputs. It is designed for use with other
ModuSystems logic modules and drives,
or it can be used with most popular
stepper drives that accept 5V TTL sig¬
nals. The unit is panel mountable and
produces a pulse range from 0 to
12,000 pulses per second. It will accept
a wide power input range from 4 to 15
VDC and has an output of 5 VDC.
Typical applications include
variable speed parastaltic pumps, wind¬
ing wire back and forth on a reel or
bobbin, driving a table to a limit for
robotics, small parts conveyor speed
control, replacement of clutches and
brakes, or turning over, transferring, in¬
serting or rotating parts in automatic
assembly machines.

Lighting Control System
Unitrol dimmers are rugged
control modules designed to
mount on stage pipe battens next to the
lights they control. Installation is fast
and simple. The dimmer is clamped to
the batten, the lamp feed is plugged to
power
