LA's Varitel Video Expands
Varitel Video of Los Angeles has

S-VHS Editing Recorder
JVC Professional Products

Company recently introduced the BRS822U, the most comprehensive S-VHS
editing recorder JVC has ever made.
The BR-S822U features a digital
Y/C separator, a luminance comb filter, a
drop-out compensation circuit and a noise
reduction circuit. The circuits allow the BRS822U to maintain excellent picture quality,
even after five generations of dubbing. The

all available option packages including the
Kurl option, used for creating page turn,
ripple, sphere, light modeling and other 3D effects.
Other acquisitions include a
Graham Patton 4-channel, D-ESAM digital
audio mixer that is being installed in the

facility's premiere digital on-line bay. The
move is part of a plan to make the bay
completely digital; plans also include the
addition of the Abekas A-82, a Grass Val¬

ley Group 151 Edit Controller to complement

editing equipment through its 9-pin RSinputs and
outputs for composite and Y/C 358 signals.
