astonished at how close the original
vision is to the finished film.

enough?
Shyamalan: They'll respond to
it if the script is strong enough. If the
script has holes, and you ask them to
stick to that specific blueprint, it can
become a very tense situation. If the
script has been worked on very care¬
fully, to the point where it's water¬
tight, then they're willing to go there.

it became a very cathartic experience
to pull it off. A movie like this one
