O P MEMBER R T << R T A 7 hefirst time I opened C ] American Cinematographer, I inspired by the words I read. The thoughts and opinions of the cinematographers opened the door to my imagination, and instantly I was motivated to become a cinematographer at a young age. I was eager to emulate their techniques, and as time passed, I began to develop my own philosophies about how the craft of cinematography contributes to the art of filmmaking. I came to realize was that it is than more about motivation technique. "There's relationship of similarity and disparity between each of us. Our individuality forms the contributions we make as collaborators. With experience come answers, a and those are followed eventually by caution. And with every opportunity I have to contribute to motion pictures, caution is the w must enemy I resist." c 'o Matty Libatique, ASC DC C a) O > n o o sz Q. © TO SUBSCRIBE BY PHONE: Call (800) 448-0145 (U.S. only) (323) 969-4333 or visit the ASC web site WWW T H E A S C COM
