Business Education Sessions Kick off the convention in style with an
official White House-themed “State Dinner.” Join us for a special
celebration at The Grand Hyatt, which includes a reception and dinner and
dancing. Walter Scheib, who served as White House Chef to Presidents
Clinton and Bush, will create the evening’s dinner and make an
appearance at the event. Business attire is appropriate. Annual Convention
attendees will be able to choose from more than 20 timely seminars to help
boost their firms’ profitability while receiving PDH credits for
business and technology sessions. Program topics will include Building
Information Modeling and Conflict Management. The convention also provides
a host of networking opportunities for attendees. See enclosed spring
semester catalog for more session information. Hotel Information
Convention activities are at The Grand Hyatt, located at 1000 H Street,
N.W., Washington, D.C. ACEC’s discounted room rate is $245,
single/double occupancy, plus tax. Call the hotel at 202-582-1234 and
reference ACEC. The cut-off date for reservations is April 17. ACEC’s
discounted hotel rates are available through the cutoff date or until
rooms in the block are sold out, whichever occurs first. Sensational

we’re capping sales at only 400 tickets. Ticket sales begin in January
and end Tuesday, May 8, or until they are sold out. The winner will be

Washington. The EEA Gala, known as The “Academy Awards of the
engineering industry,” is the annual black-tie extravaganza honoring the
