mEmbERs IN thE NEws Mergers & Acquisitions K ansas City-based TranSystems and Lichtenstein Consulting Engineers have merged, resulting in a national transportation powerhouse of nearly 1,300 professionals in 45 offices with headquarters in Paramus, N.J. The Lichtenstein offices of the joined firms will first be known as TranSystems| Lichtenstein; after a period of one year the Lichtenstein name will be absorbed entirely under the TranSystems banner. Lichtenstein is a bridge engineering firm that provides nationwide consulting services, specializing in bridges, highways and railroad engineering. TranSystems provides architecture, engineering and planning; management and supply chain consulting; real estate consulting; and security services to all sectors of the transportation industry.
