The Middleboro Casebook begins by detailing the local issues and national forces
shaping Middleboro and its surrounding communities. Each case that follows
presents a detailed picture of the structure, function, and operation of a different
type of organization within the region. Both qualitative and quantitative case data

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Lee F. Seidel, PhD, is professor emeritus of health management and policy
at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and a former visiting professor
in the executive MBA in health administration program at the University of
Colorado, Denver, where he also chaired the program's Curriculum Committee.
UNH awarded Dr. Seidel the Jean Brierley Award, its highest honor for effective
teaching.
James B. Lewis, ScD, is associate professor emeritus of health management
and policy at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). He has also directed
the university's undergraduate and graduate programs in health management and
public health and served as department chair. He currently co-teaches the capstone
course in the Executive MBA in Health Administration at the University of
Colorado, Denver.
