Published by the Sustainable Endowments Institute and based on independent research and surveys of school administrators, the report card assesses public and private colleges and universities with the largest endowments. The aim is to provide accessible information for institutions to learn from each other’s experiences and to establish more effective sustainability policies. The report card has the highest participation rate of any ranking or rating related to sustainability, with 97 percent of schools (290 out of 300) responding to at least one survey.
