Norbert Dunkel is the new associate vice president for student affairs, responsible for the Student Affairs auxiliaries, the J. Wayne Reitz Union, the Department of Recreational Sports, and the Department of Housing and Residence Education. Dunkel received his Bachelor of Science in geology and Master of Science in higher education administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Before his arrival at the University of Florida in 1988, he worked at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and South Dakota State University in Brookings. He served as ACUHO-I president from 2008 to 2009 and co-founded and co-directed the National Housing Training Institute (NHTI) from 1991 to 2000. He has recently served as co-director of the 2011 Student Housing Training Institute in South Africa. Dunkel has edited or authored 12 books on topics such as crisis management, construction and renovation, and advising student organizations. Scott Francis is the new associate director of housing for residence life. Francis earned his Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Galloway and his Master of Science in college student personnel from Western Illinois University in Macomb. He worked at the University of Florida and then George Mason University in Braddock, Virginia, returning to the University of Florida in 2008. Francis is an NHTI alumnus and past College Student Educators International (ACPA) Mid-level Management Institute (MMI) participant. Francis has twice served on the ACPA Commission for Housing and Residence Life (2002-05 and 2009-10) and has recently begun serving as an ACUHO-I STARS College faculty member. Mark Hill is the new director of housing for facilities management. Terry MacDonald is the new associate director of housing for building services. Diane Porter-Roberts is the new associate director of housing for student learning and engagement. Joella Seay is the new associate director of housing for personnel services. JoCynda Hudson is the new assistant director of housing for conduct and community standards. Carolynn Komanski is the new assistant director of housing for administrative services. Sharon Blansett is the new assistant to the associate vice president for student affairs. Greg Bowers is the new residence director for Diamond and Tanglewood Villages. Jason Fraser-Nash is the new residence director for The Continuum. Anthony “Dustin” Rollins is the new residence director for the Lakeside Residential Complex.

Linda Kasper is the new director for residence life and education. Kasper was previously the director of residential education at Oregon State University in Corvallis and prior to that the assistant director of residential education at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She earned her bachelor’s from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, and her master’s in higher education and student services from the University of Vermont in Burlington. In addition to residential life, she has also worked in academic and international affairs, including teaching English as a foreign language in China. Kasper is a member of the Women in Housing network of ACUHO-I and has served on the ACUHO-I Professional Standards Committee. Kyle Robin is the new director of housing operations and outreach.
