Mark your calendars for these valuable upcoming
events from ACUHO-I. Information on these and other
ACUHO-I events is available on our online calendar at
www.acuho-i.org/calendar.
ACUHO-I Housing Internship Program
Each year, ACUHO-I connects undergraduate and
graduate students with internship positions posted by
our member organizations from around the world.
Positions posted span a variety of roles within student
affairs. The application deadline is January 14, 2014, for
both intern candidates and host sites. Learn more on
the ACUHO-I website.

Be sure your institution casts its ballot to help shape the future of
ACUHO-I leadership. There are five Executive Board positions open
for election this year: vice president (part of the presidential cycle),
finance & corporate records officer, facilities & physical environment
director, business practices & enhancements director, and knowledge
enhancement director.
Background on the qualifications of each candidate will be posted
on the ACUHO-I website, and information on how to cast a vote will be
emailed to the primary voting contact at each member institution. Voting
will then be open February 3-14, 2014.
Election results will be announced in late March.

The Placement Exchange
March 12-16, 2014, in Baltimore, Maryland
The annual face-to-face student affairs career
placement event from The Placement Exchange
connects hundreds of job seekers with hiring
organizations in a comfortable and professional
interview environment. Early registration discounts

James C. Grimm National Housing
Training Institute (NHTI)
June 10-14, 2014, on the University of
Georgia campus
NHTI provides an intensive workshop experience for less
experienced professionals committed to advancement
within the field of campus housing. Participant
applications are due by February 5, 2014. Learn
more and apply on the ACUHO-I website.

Association President Patty Martinez, along
with Executive Director Sallie Traxler, attended
the ACUHO-I Southern Africa Chapter's
annual conference at the University of Pretoria
in October 2013. They spoke to the delegation
about the ACUHO-I core competencies, the
ACUHO-I standards, and the globalization of
the association.
