Mission Continues
Interface has introduced its Reclaim line.
The 25 cm x 1 m skinny plank series is
inspired by immaculately aged wood
flooring and is composed of 100 percent
reclaimed nylon from sources such as
salvaged fishing nets and reclaimed carpet
fiber. The launch of the new series coincides
with the company's Mission Zero promise
to eradicate any negative environmental
impact by the year 2020. Available in eight
colors, such as antique grey, worn olive,
and rustic teal, the Reclaim series is also
part of the Cool Carpet initiative that is a
third-party-verified climate-neutral carpet
that cuts out all greenhouse gas emissions
associated with the carpet's lifecycle. For

New Furniture from Case
Systems
Case Systems recently introduced furniture, built for
durability and affordability, for the higher education
market. The line includes room essentials such as
desks, wardrobes, and dressers that are stain and
fade resistant and can be customized with a variety

Fort Collins, Colorado
Projected Opening: Fall 2016

Cost: $111 million

Aggie Village North at Colorado State University is an
apartment redevelopment project that will replace 145
apartments constructed in 1960 with 980 new beds in a mix of
studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom suites. The project
will also encompass 16,000 square feet of classroom space,
office space, and a grand courtyard.
george Washington University

Washington, D.C.
Projected Opening: Summer 2016

Cost: $ TBA

A new student housing project is underway at George
Washington University. The space is currently occupied by two
existing residence halls. The university will retain the front
portions of the existing residence halls, while the new hall
will serve as a 12-story infill addition. Upon completion, the
addition will add 332 new beds, including space for staff and
faculty as well as ground-floor retail and student life/student
service space.
Stanford University

Stanford, California
Projected Opening: Fall 2016

Cost: $67 million

Stanford began construction on a housing project that
will include three new residence halls that will house an
additional 341 undergraduate students. One hall will provide
125 beds for upper-division students in a three-story complex
with a mix of single and double rooms, while the additional
two halls will be available to undergraduates of all ranks.
University of Southern california

Los Angeles, California
Projected Opening: 2017

Cost: $650 million

An outdated shopping center on University of Southern
California's campus is being transformed into a 15-acre
village that will house 2,700 students in the university's
largest expansion to date. The village will be equipped with
a 30,000-square-foot fitness center and a handful of retail
stores, including a grocery store. While the village will be
open to the public during the day, it will be restricted only to
students from 9 p.m. to 6 p.m.
