ue Beebe began volunteering
with SEAHO in 1996, serving as
the Florida State Representative.
She continued her service with SEAHO
holding various leadership positions,
including co-chair of the Placement
Committee, secretary, and memberat-large. She started volunteering with
ACUHO-I in 1998. As the association

Charlotte, North Carolina, she attended
the Exhibits Committee meeting and
joined the "red shirts." She later had the

opportunity to serve as the Regional
Representative for SEAHO. She continued to serve the Foundation as chair of
the Silent Auction Committee for three
years and then vice chair for Development Committees, having the opportunity to be involved with the Foundation's
25th anniversary. Sue continues to serve
the Foundation more recently as chairelect, chair, and currently as past-chair.

The James C. Grimm Leadership & Service Award honors individuals who show dedicated service and outstanding leadership by
devoting themselves to strengthening the mission and objectives of the association.

Herstory Award
Bonnie Solt Prunty, Ithaca College

onnie Solt Prunty is the director
of residential life and judicial
affairs as well as assistant dean
for the First-Year Experience at Ithaca
College. She has worked at Ithaca College since 1988 in a variety of positions.
Prior to her arrival at Ithaca, she was a
residence director at Syracuse University. She earned a bachelor's in business
from Lehigh University and a master's in
student personnel services from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania.
Her involvement with NEACUHO
began immediately after graduate school
when she served as a member and then
chairperson for the Training and Development Committee. She then served
one term as the NEACUHO secretary.
She won a "Best of NEACUHO" award
which provided financial support for her

to present at ACUHO-I. From that point
onward Bonnie has become an active
member of ACUHO-I. She joined the
Programming Committee as a program
reviewer and member of the New Delegates Program Work Group. She then
moved up to the Program Steering Committee and ultimately served as the committee chair. In addition she has chaired
the Business Operations Planning
Committee, planning and implementing
the inaugural conference. She served two
terms on the ACUHO-I Executive Board
as the director for business practices and
enhancements and led board projects
including the Membership Review and
the Privatized Housing Task Force. She
currently chairs the National Housing
Training Institute Coordinating Committee, charged with increasing access to

it by offering NHTI concurrently on two
host sites.
Bonnie is committed to fostering the
professional growth and development of
new professionals in our field. She does
this through her involvement in planning and implementing ACUHO-I educational opportunities as well as serving
as an individual mentor for many new
professionals.

The Herstory Award recognizes an outstanding woman professional who has served campus housing through courage, leadership, a
pioneering spirit, honor, and commitment.
