Retirement Announcement University of California, Berkeley, California Harry Le Grande will retire from his position as vice chancellor of student affairs on December 31. He has served in this capacity since 2008 and has made several notable improvements to campus life since that time. He helped create the Middle Class Access Plan which assists middle-class families with tuition. Additionally, he has led the campus community through many expansions of the housing program, and he has been a long-time advocate for student equity and inclusion. Le Grande served as ACUHO-I president in 1995, and he has received several prestigious awards from the student housing community. They include ACUHO-I's James C. Grimm Leadership and Service Award, the James A. Hurd Award, and the Parthenon Society Award from the ACUHO-I Foundation. He also received the Charles L.
