The University of Miami has broken ground on this 12-acre
complex, which is part of a 10-year building plan to bring
new student housing to its campus after 60 years without
new hall construction. It is hoped that the village will achieve
at least LEED Silver if not LEED Gold certification with its
rooftop green spaces, rain garden, and efficient heating and
cooling systems. It also aims to incorporate elements of WELL
building standards, including those for air quality, lighting
conditions, and overall comfort. The village will house 1,115
students and will offer retail, office, and event spaces on the
first floor and mezzanine levels.

Trinitas, a student housing real estate developer based in
Lafayette, Indiana, is planning to house 784 students in The
Nest near the University of Kansas campus. It will offer fully
furnished two-story duplexes and three-story townhomes.
The complex will have an indoor basketball court, private
study lounges, five acres of green space, a free shuttle to
campus, a 24/7 gym, and a computer café.

Macmillan Learning is pleased to announce the Higher Education Speakers' Bureau
Grant to support client-led presentations! Topics will span the range of our institutional
products to include Skyfactor Mapworks and Benchworks, iClicker and Intellus Learning.

Skyfactor Benchworks is pleased to announce the Higher
Education Speakers' Bureau Grant to support client-led
presentations! ACUHO-I members can submit sessions for
consideration on a rolling basis, with those received by the
end of each quarter awarded for the upcoming period. If your
submission is selected you can be eligible for a grant of up to
$1,000 to help cover the costs of your conference registration
and travel-related expenses.
