Top Technologies Aseptic robot The DENSO VP-G2 six-axis articulated aseptic robot offers Class 100 cleanroom performance in a compact design, with a footprint of only 200 mm in diameter. The robots have a reach of 432 mm, a payload capacity of 2 kg, repeatability of 0.02 mm and a standard cycle time of 0.99 s. Anodised aluminium coverings, a protective outer coating and specially sealed joints also allow the robot to be safely cleaned with hydrogen peroxide. Energy savings can also be achieved as the robots’ motors use only 300 W. The isolator comprises a basic unit that is modular and extendable to enable customisation. There is an optional choice of negative or positive pressure, HEPA filters underneath the working surface and one or two hatches are available. Additional options, such as VHP connection, dunk tank, UV light, alcohol shower and storage shelf in the working space, are also available. The product is available in sizes of 1 L and 5 L, and is ready to use, eliminating mixing, filtration, processing and QC expenses. According to the company, the product is ideal for hard surfaces of cleanrooms, isolators, laminar air flow cabinets, RABS and filling lines, and complements well the company’s sterile wipes. The straps, made of stainless steel, feature urethane-coated lifting straps, which are easy to clean and never require lubrication. A number of models and configurations with stainless steel trolleys are offered to accommodate up to 4000 pounds (approximately 1814 kg).
