FEB05 METER AND CONTROL TECHNICIAN–Perform all types of work related to the installation, operation and maintenance of odorizers, regulators, regulator-reliefs, valves, gas meters, correcting instrumentation and related facilities. Qualiﬁcations: • Valid driver’s license • Pipeline alcohol and drug testing • Must have held a journeyman position at a gas utility. • Five years’ related ﬁeld experience working with town border and district regulator station equipment, including pressure regulators, pressure relief valves, metering and odorization equipment. • Experience working with control valves, including installation, operation inspections, teardown inspections, maintenance of control valves and controllers – pneumatic and electronic. • Diagnose and repair electronic equipment – lighting arrestors, barriers and isolating units. • Experience investigating gas leaks, checking for leaks at town border and district regulator stations, customer meter sets above and below ground. • Computer experience with Microsoft applications.
