location, Norton said. “We’re focused on building very fast and efficient fueling stations for
heavy-duty truck and industrial users. They’ll
be able to get in and out with the fuel they need
very quickly.”
Blu’s stations also are open to the public,
enabling motorists with CNG vehicles to easily
refuel as well.
Meanwhile, Houston-based Shell and
TravelCenters of America of Westlake, Ohio,
have finalized an agreement to add LNG fueling
lanes at up to 100 existing TA and Petro Shopping Centers along the U.S. interstate highway
system. The companies estimate that the first
of these stations will be operational in one year.
Each station will contain at least two LNG fueling lanes and a storage facility.
“We see great potential for LNG as a fuel option among our range of quality fuels, due to the
sheer abundance and affordability of domestic
natural gas in North America,” Elen Phillips,
vice president of Shell Fuels Sales & Marketing

Customers aren’t thrilled with mobile
access to utility websites

he number of customers accessing their utility’s website via mobile device has increased
dramatically over the past year, according
to a recent J.D. Power and Associates report. But
those customers haven’t been too impressed with
the quality of their experience.
The 2013 Utility Website Evaluation study
found that 26 percent of customers visited their
utility’s website using their smartphone, up from
16 percent in 2012. Satisfaction with mobile
websites averaged 403 on a 500-point scale,
compared to 416 points for websites accessed via
desktop computer.
Gas-only utilities scored lower than their
electric-only counterparts for website satisfaction,
said J.D. Power Senior Director Andrew Heath.
