DIreCtOr gas suppLY & CONtrOL
Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of gas supply, gas control
and supply resource planning functions for
Cascade Natural Gas Corp. and Intermountain
Gas Co. Serves as liaison between Gas Supply
and Gas Control Department and Director of Gas
Supply. Develops strategic direction overview
in all aspects of gas supply and gas control for
CNGC & IGC. Responsible for the monitoring of
Cascade’s and IGC gas distribution and transmission systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a working knowledge of the operational and business aspects of gas supply, gas
control and resource planning normally acquired
through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree
in engineering, business, or economics and ten
years of progressively responsible experience
in a related utility and/or gas supply industry,
including five years of supervisory/leadership
experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Provides leadership and guidance to develop,
maintain and supervise personnel responsible
for Supply Resource Planning, Gas Supply and
Gas Control.
2. Identifies and directs implementation of Gas
Supply & Gas Control Improvements for the
Company.
3. Responsible for and monitors operating budget
within department.
4. Directs drafting and editing of department
policies procedures related to Gas Supply and
Gas Control.
5. Evaluates regulatory requirements and directs
the development of programs and procedures
to ensure compliance by all department
employees.
6. Provides oversight and assists in the administration of the Gas Supply & Gas Control function
for the utility group.
7. Keeps appraised of applicable statutes, area
pipeline tariffs, FERC proceedings, and state
regulatory commission rules and orders affecting gas supply acquisition and transportation.
8. Prepares or supports presentations and testimony for the states Regulatory Commissions in
the applicable states.
9. Coordinates the preparation of responses to
data requests and all other interface requests
for Regulatory Affairs in response to inquiries
from the respective states Regulatory Commissions.
10. Perform other tasks and special projects as
assigned.

experience in the application for and compliance
with air permits for the natural gas industry. A
minimum of 15 years direct experience of air
regulatory programs is required.

Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating the daily operation
of the Gas Control Center ensuring all policies
and procedures are followed. Ensure the optimization of the distribution system and meeting the
requirements of all customer classes using gas
supply, transportation and storage available while
operating within the guidelines of the applicable
tariffs, contracts, and federal, state and local
regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Two (2) years of accredited college or
university courses, preferably in an engineering
discipline, or equivalent work experience within a
natural gas distribution environment.
Experience – Prefer a minimum of three (3)
years experience in the natural gas industry with
emphasis on dispatching, gas management, gas
transmission or gas distribution activities. Must
have three (3) years experience in the Company’s
gas load function.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Provides direction for the Gas Controller work
group such as task assignment, output quality
control, on the job training and shift scheduling.
2. Prepares and implements a daily operational
plan based on system requirements while
operating within established guidelines
3. Ensures accurate record keeping and documentation of daily activity.
4. Maintains a knowledge of Company policies,
directive and procedures, physical distribution
system facilities and limitations, SCADA system
and associated communication facilities,
customer facilities and requirements and the interconnecting facilities of the interstate pipelines
utilized by Cascade and its customers.
5. Identifies system abnormalities, computer
alarms and deviation from the daily operational plan and provides guidance to correct
and properly document the situation and its
resolution.
6. May be required to assist or substitute for
Gas Controllers during emergencies or staff
shortages.
7. Conducts on the job training for new employees and cross training of existing Company
employees.
8. Identifies situations outside of established procedures and guidelines, documents and refers
to management for resolution.
9. Perform other tasks and special projects as
assigned.
