ALASKA KAYAK EXPLORATION

Designed for travelers who enjoy active adventures, especially
on the water. Package includes three unique kayaking
excursions in Homer, Seward, and Denali State Park, plus a
rafting trip on the Nenana River. Travel by rental car.

Travel off the beaten path on a trip to Anchorage, Seward,
Valdez, Fairbanks, Denali Park, and Talkeetna. Explore more
on a helicopter tour, bike trip, wildlife cruise and bus tour, and
Arctic Circle excursion. Travel by 4x4 rental car.

Day 1 Arrive Anchorage, overnight at a lakeside hotel.

Day 2 Drive south to the Kenai Peninsula and on to Homer, a
charming fishing town on Kachemak Bay. Overnight Homer.

Day 2 See Anchorage on a city tour in the morning, then on a

Day 3 Head into the pristine bay water on a guided kayaking
tour around Otter Cove. Overnight Homer.

Day 3 Enjoy the drive south to Seward, one of the most scenic
stretches of highway in Alaska. Overnight Seward.

Day 4 Bid adieu to Homer and drive to Seward. Visit the Seward
SeaLife Center in the afternoon. Overnight Seward.

Day 4 Board a day cruise bound for the remote reaches of
Kenai Fjords National Park. Overnight Seward.

Day 5 Board a water taxi for Northwestern Fjord and spend
the day kayaking alongside tidewater glaciers.

Day 6 Head inland on the drive north to Talkeetna. See the
Alaska Range by air on a flightseeing tour this evening.

Day 5 Travel to Palmer, then fly by helicopter to a remote ridge
for an alpine hike. Overnight in a private cabin.
Day 6 Drive through the Matanuska River valley and over Thompson
Pass on the way to coastal Valdez. Overnight Valdez.
Day 7 Day cruise through Prince William Sound to the
Columbia Glacier. Overnight Valdez.

Day 7 Enjoy a serene guided kayak trip on Byers Lake before
continuing to Denali National Park. Overnight Denali.

Day 8 Leave the coast for Interior Alaska on today's drive
north to Fairbanks. Overnight Fairbanks.

Day 8 Explore 62 miles of the Denali Park Road on a guided
wildlife bus tour. In the evening take to the water once
more on a Nenana River float. Overnight Denali.

Day 9 Explore beyond the Arctic Circle on a guided van tour,
then return to Fairbanks by plane. Overnight Fairbanks.

Day 9 Take your time on the drive back to Anchorage.
Final overnight in Anchorage.
Day 10 Your Alaska vacation concludes.
