Do I need my passport to travel to Alaska?
Alaska is a U.S. state, so if you are a U.S. citizen you do not need
a passport. If you are coming from outside the U.S. or traveling
through Canada by cruise you will need a passport.
Can I travel to Alaska on a budget?
Absolutely, especially if you travel during the May and September
shoulder season. Many hotels and transportation like Alaska trains
offer discounts then. But even during peak season, we can help find
you savings.
What are the best places to visit in Alaska?
Some of the best places to visit are Denali National Park, Seward and
Kenai Fjords, Talkeetna, Fairbanks, and Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
How will I get around in Alaska?
The three primary ways to get around are train, motorcoach,
or rental car.
What is a self-guided vacation?
On a self-guided vacation, we provide a custom itinerary to follow but
you will not be traveling with the same group or guide through the
entire trip. You get to decide when you want to start your trip, where
to go, and how long to stay.
Can I take an Alaska cruise and an Alaska land tour?
Yes, you can! We can recommend and book an Alaska cruise and

Where do I start my vacation in Alaska?
Most travelers fly into Anchorage or Fairbanks. If you are sailing north
on a cruise ship and want to explore Alaska by land afterwards, we
can create an itinerary that starts in Seward or Whittier, the two most
popular cruise ports on the northern end of Alaska cruise routes.

What If You Need to Cancel After Booking?
Our cancellation waiver program allows you to change or cancel your
reservation for any reason without a fee or penalty up until 31 days prior
to travel. You may also receive a refund for your trip in the event that you
must cancel within 30 days due to a medical emergency or death within
your traveling party, or a death within your immediate family. The cancellation waiver costs just 3% of covered services and is non-refundable,
although guests confirming their trip at least 60 days prior to travel will
have 14 days to add or remove the waiver. More details are available at
