PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION 6th Disparities Partnership Forum October 21–22, 2013 Hilton Crystal City Arlington, Va. The Association’s 6th Disparities Partnership Forum, entitled “Overcoming Diabetes: Diabetes Care in High Risk Populations,” will focus on cultural competency, health equity, and health literacy. Participants will interact with Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native thought leaders and practitioners. Former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Louis W. Sullivan, MD, will serve as this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. Sullivan now chairs the Washington, D.C.–based Sullivan Alliance to Transform America’s Health Professions, as well as the board of the National Health Museum in Atlanta. He is also president emeritus of Morehouse School of Medicine. TARGET AUDIENCE Keynote speaker Louis W. Sullivan, MD.
