Call for Nominations Now Open for
Pathway to Stop Diabetes®
The American Diabetes Association invites institutional nominations of exceptional individuals who have distinguished themselves
as promising investigators with a high likelihood of making seminal
contributions in diabetes research for Pathway to Stop Diabetes
awards. Awardees receive up to $1.625 million over 5-7 years. The
program supports postdoctoral fellows through their transition to
independence, early career faculty, and investigators established in
other fields who wish to pursue diabetes research for the first time.
Association Announces New Policy for
Data and Resource Sharing
Research resources and data derived through American Diabetes
Association (ADA)-sponsored research are critical to the
advancement of scientific progress. Effective January 1, 2018,
all applications for funding-for all grant mechanisms-will be
required to include a data and resource sharing plan or a request
for waiver. Results and resources developed with ADA funds are
required to be made available to the broader scientific community within a reasonable timeframe, as defined within the policy.
A list of vetted, free repositories is available at
professional.diabetes.org/research-grants.
