MEMBERSHIP NEWS
Announcing the American Diabetes Association's
Women's Interprofessional Network Advisory Group
Launched in June 2017 at the American Diabetes Association's 77th Scientific
Sessions, the Association's Women's Interprofessional Network (WIN ADA) has
brought together more than 600 female clinicians, scientists, and educators in
diabetes. Although its activities are still largely in development, this group intends
to provide career development, networking, research, and recognition opportunities
to women from various disciplines in the diabetes field.
The Association recently established the WIN ADA Advisory Group to provide
direction on the network's goals and events. We are pleased to introduce this group,
which combines the expertise of 15 leading women scientists, educators, and health
care providers:

This advisory group is helping the Association implement two WIN ADA events at
the 78th Scientific Sessions (June 22-28, 2018) in Orlando, FL: a mini-symposium
on gender gaps in science and an evening networking reception.
