Diabetes Nurse Educator | Veterans Affairs, Veterans

This Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist
- Inpatient (CDCES-I) position is part of the diabetes
team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
collaborating with services internal and external to the VA
to facilitate care transitions to effectively meet patients'
needs. Candidates should possess the knowledge and
skills to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process
within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting to
facilitate the effective care of patients and manage the
diabetes care program.
Endocrinology Academic Faculty Member | University of
Texas Medical Branch - League City, TX
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a
full-time board-certified or board-eligible academic
faculty endocrinologist for its League City campus. The
successful candidate should expect to perform half-day
outpatient clinics, participate in weekend rotation for
inpatient consults, and be an instructor/mentor for medical
students, internal medicine residents, and endocrinology
fellows. Clinical practice experience is preferred but not
mandatory, as new fellows are encouraged to apply. All
candidates must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent;
have completed an accredited ACGME internal medicine
residency program; be board certified or board eligible in
internal medicine and endocrinology; and have the ability to
obtain an unrestricted State of Texas medical license.
RN High-Risk Care Manager | Banner Health - Tucson, AZ
Banner Health is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to join
its Population Health Management team in Tucson, AZ.
This team provides case management services across the
care continuum and focuses on preventive management to
reduce risks associated with chronic diseases. Population
Health provides a multidisciplinary approach with a team
of RN high-risk care managers, social workers, registered
dietitians, certified diabetes care and education specialists,
and health service navigators to support its service
communities. This position will be responsible for managing
complex, chronic-care, and rising-risk members and will be
the main point of contact for members and providers across
care settings. The RN will engage appropriate resources
within the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal results
for the patient, family, and caregivers.
NP/PA Primary Care Practice | ChristianaCare -
Greenville, DE
ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner
or physician assistant to join its Greenville, DE, practice.
This is a full-time position with an office that offers evening
and Saturday appointments. Therefore, candidates must
be available to work one evening per week from 10:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays four to five times per year in
rotation with other staff, as well as taking call on evenings
and weekends. The successful candidate will work with
physicians, medical assistants, nurses, and office assistants
and build a panel of patients.
WIN ADA Advisory Group Applications Open January 1, 2022
The Women's Interprofessional Network of the American Diabetes Association (WIN ADA) is ADA's members-only network
for female clinicians, scientists, educators, and other health professionals in diabetes. The group aims to strengthen the
voice and presence of women in diabetes research and clinical practice, recognize the significant contributions of women
to the diabetes field, provide career development and networking opportunities to women of all career stages to help them
achieve their full potential, and increase research efforts on women's health and sex as a biological variable in diabetes.
Applications will be accepted to serve on the WIN ADA Advisory Group starting January 1, 2022.
Diabetes professionals are encouraged to apply to join this group of expert clinicians, scientists, educators, public health
practitioners, and other diabetes professionals. The Advisory Group plans WIN ADA activities, votes on award nominations,
and discusses strategies for advancing women's careers in the field of diabetes.
