Last Chance to Get CE Credit
for ADA's Member-Exclusive
Webinar Series for 2021
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is
encouraging its professional members to take
advantage of the opportunity to earn continuing
education (CE) credit for the " Hands On: Tips to
Improve Diabetes Care " webinar series by watching
the recorded webcasts from 2021 before the CE credit
window expires on December 31, 2021.
More than 1,500 ADA professional members have
attended the live online sessions of this year's
program series so far. Like those who have attended
the live sessions, members who watch the recorded
webcasts have the opportunity to earn up to 1 CE
credit for each session.
The " Hands On " series focuses on topics in the areas
of primary care, behavioral health, and diabetes
technology. Recent presentations have included
" What Health Care Providers Can Do to Help Patients
Overcome Cost Challenges, " " Beyond the Clinic:
Helping Your Patients with Diabetes Find the Support
They Need, " and " Downloading Data, Part 1: What Can
We Really Learn from Blood Glucose Meters, Smart
Pens, and Smart Caps? "
One of the signature features of the series is that each
webinar concludes with five actionable tips relevant to the
topic that attendees can put into practice immediately.
Members who would like to earn CE credit for a 2021
" Hands On " webcast before December 31 may do
so by visiting ADA's Professional Education Portal,
selecting the 2021 session(s) they would like to watch,
and following the steps to claim their credit.
The final live webinar event of 2021, titled
" Overwhelmed? What to Do When Patients (or Providers)
Experience Diabetes Device Burnout, " will be held
on Dec. 14 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET. Faculty will
include moderator Jennifer Raymond, MD, MCR, and
panelists A. Gwendolyne Jack, MD, MPH, and Molly
L. Tanenbaum, PhD. To learn more and register, visit

Primary Care, and Diabetes Technology Interest Groups

Leadership Team Applicants
Advance your career by taking on a leadership role
within the American Diabetes Association's (ADA's)
Interest Groups. Applications will open January 1,
2022, for volunteer positions on the Interest Group
Leadership Teams.
These teams convene on a regular basis to organize
educational, career development, and engagement
programs for Interest Group members. To learn more

Members who have previously served on an Interest
Group Leadership Team are welcome to reapply.
Individuals who are employed by industry are not
eligible to serve as Chair-Elect or Chair, given
ADA's Scientific Sessions and continuing education
accreditation policies.
