DPP Express: Do More With Your Data
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is excited to announce that DPP Express now allows users to
create their own billing models directly in the platform.
Since 2017, DPP Express has been promoting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's)
National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) by supporting CDC-recognized lifestyle change
programs. DPP Express is a user-friendly, secure, Web-based charting platform that allows users to collect
data and generate reports that align with Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP) requirements.
DPP Express allows an unlimited number of users to access the platform with features that include:
* The ability to import data from previous DPRP submission files
* A unified class documentation page, allowing you to quickly chart across an entire cohort of participants
* The ability to transfer a participant from one cohort to another quickly and easily
* Documentation of patient biometric data such as A1C, blood pressure, and lipid panels
* Powerful reporting features, including program metrics and participant reports.
Additional advanced features can help increase the efficiency and success of your program. Some of these
features include:
* Recruitment tools that allow you to record recruitment activities and track potential participants and their
level of interest in enrolling in your program
* The ability to send texts and email messages to several or all of your recruits and participants directly
from DPP Express
* Identification and tracking of who is referring participants to your program
In an effort to meet the ever-changing needs of National DPP lifestyle change programs, the ADA continues
to build features to improve program efficiency and sustainability. The ADA is excited to announce the new
build-your-own-billing-model feature. This feature introduces many new system-wide models, including
additional state Medicaid formats, as well as the ability for program coordinators to create a billing model
that is specific to an agreement their organization has with a specific payer. This feature allows you to create
multiple value-based payment elements, including a per-session element, a weight loss percentage element,
and combination elements such as weight loss percentage or A1C reduction or physical activity average.
Once participants are assigned to these billing models, users can run billing reports that can be used to
invoice payers for the service.
To learn more about how DPP Express and its capabilities can simplify and enhance the efficiency of your
National DPP lifestyle change program, email DPPExpress@diabetes.org or visit diabetes.org/dppexpress.
