The American Heart Association and the American Diabetes
Association's Know Diabetes by Heart initiative recently hosted a professional webinar titled "Supporting Your
Patients in Managing their CV Risk Through Lifestyle
Management." The live event featured experts Gretchen
Youssef, MS, RD, CDE, program director of the MedStar
Diabetes Institute, and Cindy Lamendola, MSN, NP, a nurse
practitioner and clinical research nurse coordinator at
Stanford University School of Medicine. The two speakers
discussed the importance of lifestyle management for
individuals with diabetes and risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. A recording of the event can be viewed at
