New Podcast Series: Diabetes and Influenza
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has released the first episode in a three-part series on Diabetes
Core Update-ADA's podcast for primary care and point-of-care providers-to explore the complicated
relationship between diabetes and influenza. This series is supported by an independent educational grant
from Sanofi Pasteur.
In each episode, Drs. Neil Skolnik and John Russell of Abington Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, PA, and
the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, discuss the latest clinically relevant articles
and information related to the impact of diabetes on influenza-related mortality rates, influenza-related
complications in people with diabetes, and the important role clinicians can play in encouraging patients
