Open Call for Peer Grant Reviewers
The American Diabetes Association's (ADA's) Research
Programs are seeking valued members of the diabetes
community who are committed to the advancement
of research, innovation, and breakthrough discoveries
in diabetes, to review applications to open funding
opportunities.
Each reviewer critiques and rates no more than three to
six grant applications via the ADA's online grant reviewer
portal. Reviews consist of an overall grant score and a
written critique that addresses defined review criteria. The
ADA will provide reviewer guidelines and applicable tools
and training, as needed.
In gratitude for this volunteer service, the ADA will provide
one free Scientific Sessions registration to each reviewer
who participates in a review cycle for the following year's
event. Reviewers may receive only one registration
regardless of the number of review cycles they participate
in within any year, and the free registration is not
transferable.
The ADA aims to match applications to reviewers'
expertise; thus, not everyone who has volunteered may be
called upon to review during a given cycle.
The Association is grateful to have so many expert
reviewers willing to perform this important service to further
its mission to support diabetes researchers seeking new
ways to improve the lives of all people living with diabetes.
Please contact the Research Programs Team at
grantreviewers@diabetes.org to submit your interest.
