Manitoba Half-hour break for every 5 hours of work. 24 consecutive hours off in each 7day period (with some exceptions). New Brunswick Half-hour break for every 5 hours of work. Weekly rest period of at least 24 hours to be taken if possible on Sunday (with exceptions). Newfoundland and Labrador One hour break for every 5 hours of work. Northwest Territories/ Nunavut Half-hour break for every 5 hours of work. Each employee must have at least: Nova Scotia Half-hour break for every 5 hours of work. Rest period of 24 hours every 7 days (preferably on Sunday with exceptions). Ontario Half-hour break for every 5 hours of work. 8 hours in each 24hour period. 32 hours in a row free from work each week.
