Magellan, TransCanada Work On Houston Project
TULSA-Magellan Midstream Partners
LP and TransCanada Corp. have announced a joint development agreement
for a project to connect TransCanada's
Houston tank terminal to Magellan's East
Houston terminal. The companies say
the project will give TransCanada's Keystone and Marketlink shippers access to
Magellan's Houston and Texas City crude
oil distribution system.
The project includes constructing a
nine-mile, 24-inch diameter pipeline, with
the companies having equal ownership

JOHN WALSH is a principal geophysicist in Schlumberger's Global
Unconventional Resources Group,
based in Houston. He began his career
with Schlumberger as a field engineer
in Oklahoma. Over the past 35 years,
he has held positions in operations,
marketing, and research involved primarily with borehole seismic and sonic
logging. In his role with the Unconventional Resources Group, Walsh is
developing new applications for
acoustic and geomechanics services
in unconventional resource plays, as
well as providing technical support
for these services. Walsh graduated
from Holy Cross College in 1975 with
an honors B.A. in mathematics.

SACHIN BAMMI is principal engineer and interpretation development
petrophysicist at the Schlumberger
ThruBit Technology Center in Katy,
Tx. In 13 years with Schlumberger,
he has held various positions involved
with developing drilling software and
MWD/LWD tools, and in development
and architecture, log analysis, and
technical sales support. Bammi's current interests are in solving problems
related to logging and formation evaluation techniques. He earned his bachelor's and master's in civil engineering
from the Indian Institute of Technology,
Bombay, and North Carolina State
University in 1999 and 2001, respectively.
