TechnipFMC Recognized For Subsea Innovations
PORTLAND, OR.-TechnipFMC has
won the Hydraulic Institute Award for
Innovation and Technology.
The awards committee recognized
TechnipFMC as an innovator in subsea
technology, reports Sulzer, the institute
member that presented the award to the
company. TechnipFMC's innovations include streamlining subsea operations by
combining processes, introducing improved research and development strategies
such as rapid prototyping, and employing
condition performance monitoring, Sulzer
says, adding that the institute commended
the company's commitment to reducing
subsea topside dependencies.
Sulzer relates that it and FMC have
worked together on several high-profile
projects as premium suppliers of high-

performance subsea pumps and motors,
respectively. According to Sulzer, the
two subsea experts' tandem efforts have
delivered fully integrated systems for
demanding energy applications in the
most challenging environments.

To Simplify Water Logistics
HOUSTON-Through an all-stock
transaction, Rockwater Energy Solutions
Inc. and Crescent Companies LLC are
combining to create a water management
services company.
The companies say they are highly
complementary and growing organizations
with a shared belief in simplifying oil
field water management and logistics
through innovation. The companies describe their service suite as unmatched,
noting that it includes water sourcing,

monitoring and control. They also offer

Service Enables One-Run Diagnostics, Intervention
HOUSTON-Halliburton has debuted
the SPECTRUMSM FUSION real-time
coiled tubing service.
According to the company, FUSION
includes the first real-time system on the
market using hybrid cable technology that
simultaneously provides downhole communication and continuous electric power
for diagnostic applications. The cable is
conveyed through coiled tubing to deliver
intervention, diagnostic and reservoir assessment services in one trip down hole.
The SPECTRUM family of services
is designed to deliver more accurate and
effective interventions by capturing data
such as weight on bit, pressure, temperature and acoustics, with casing collar lo-

cator and gamma ray for depth correlation
in real time, Halliburton describes. FUSION eliminates runs and reduces surface
footprint by integrating full wireline capability with downhole intervention tools,
the company says.
By combining existing insight from
fiber optics inside the coil with power
from the surface, the service enables versatility in selecting logging tools, Halliburton
continues. The company adds that FUSION
allows customers to diagnose wellbore
conditions in real time, and customize the
wellbore treatment or intervention operation
using the data transmitted to the surface.
