to quantify fracture geometry ranges. The
fiber optic results improved the RTA by
providing an accurate description of the
number of treated fractures. Results from
interference testing were integrated into
the RTA to provide half-length constraints.
The resulting height from RTA after applying
these constraints agreed with the fracture
model and offset pressure monitoring.
Offset pressure monitoring, RTA and

as a reservoir engineer at QEP Resources Inc. and joined Devon as a
production engineer in 2012. Dahlgren
holds a degree in petroleum engineering
from the University of Oklahoma

HART GREENWOOD is a reservoir
engineer at Devon Energy. He joined
the company as a production engineer
in 2012, Greenwood holds a B.S. in
petroleum engineering from Montana
Tech of the University of Montana.

TOM PERYAM is a geologist at
Devon Energy. He joined the company
in 2012. Peryam holds a B.S. in geology
and a Ph.D. in geological sciences
from the University of Oregon and an
M.S. in geological sciences from New
Mexico State University.

BREANNE KENNEDY is a geophysicist at Devon Energy. She joined
the company in 2005 as a geological
technician. Kennedy holds a B.S. in
geology and earth science and an
M.S. in geophysics from the University
of Oklahoma.

MATT DAWSON previously served
as investment manager and principal
researcher at Statoil, a senior research
engineer at ExxonMobil, and chief executive officer of Emeon Technologies.
Dawson holds a B.S. in mechanical
engineering from the Colorado School
of Mines, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in
mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The agreement between multiple diagnostic tools increased confidence in the
modeled fracture geometry. Integrating
these multidisciplinary diagnostic tools
has led to an improved understanding of
hydraulic, propped and conductive fracture

geometries and provides key insights to
optimize future field development and
spacing in the STACK play.
