AFGlobal Corp. Acquires
Axon Pump Technology
HOUSTON-AFGlobal Corp. has acquired the Axon pressure pump technology
and product line from Amkin Technologies
LLC, a privately held oil field equipment
and technology developer.
According to AFGlobal, the acquisition
of the Axon pump technologies, combined
with its pressure pumping systems, will
help clients realize a dramatic improvement
in cost, durability and capability while
simplifying systems integration. The company adds these products are used across
a broad spectrum of pumping technologies,
including cementing, acidizing, coiled
tubing support and well servicing.
"Equipment reliability in this market
is critical, and this acquisition provides
us with a valuable adjacent technology to
help us further enhance our offerings to
clients looking to build efficiencies and
streamline their operational suppliers,"
says Mark Terry, president of pressure
pumping and compression for AFGlobal.

U.S. Silica Holdings Joins Lizard Conservation Plan
FREDERICK, MD.-U.S. Silica Holdings Inc. has received a certificate of inclusion into the Texas conservation plan
for the Dunes sagebrush lizard. The company says this preserves important lizard
habitat and helps assure its future operations in the area.

the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts

Crane County, Tx., demonstrates U.S.

Clariant Enlarges Facilities In Permian, Mid-Continent
MUTTENZ, SWITZERLAND-Specialty chemical provider Clariant announces it is making investments to upgrade oil service facilities in Midland
and Clinton, Ok.
The company says it will construct a
regional technical laboratory in Midland,
which is almost twice the size of the
current laboratory. Clariant estimates the
new laboratory, which will have upgraded
equipment, will enable it to increase
sample activity for customers by 45 percent. Other planned improvements include
expanded office space, a new maintenance
building, and on-site access roads for
heavy vehicles, the company adds.
To improve its service offerings to
customers in the growing Mid-Continent region, Clariant reports it has
consolidated its Elk City, Ok., and
Seiling, Ok., sites into the Clinton facility. In addition, the company will

duction platform in the Peregrino Phase II
project in Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.
The company says the new fixed platform will be connected by the in-field
lines to the existing platform. TechnipFMC
says it will leverage local capabilities as
well as its global state-of-the-art pipelay
fleet for the offshore campaign, which is
scheduled to start in 2019.

to have been selected to execute this project,
in addition to the previously awarded
surface trees package for Peregrino Phase
II," comments Hallvard Hasselknippe, president of TechnipFMC's subsea projects. r

C&J Energy To Acquire
O-Tex Holdings Inc.
HOUSTON-C&J Energy Services Inc.
has entered into a definitive agreement to
acquire O-Tex Holdings Inc. and its operating subsidiaries.
Under the agreement, C&J says it will
acquire all outstanding equity interests
of O-Tex in a cash and stock transaction
for $132.5 million in cash, subject to
customary purchase price adjustments,
and 4.2 million shares of C&J common
stock. The acquisition is scheduled for
completion before the end of 2017.
"The addition of O-Tex to our portfolio
advances several of our key strategic
goals, and strengthens our capabilities as
one of the most geographically diverse
and technologically advanced providers
of well construction, intervention and
completion services in the United States,"
says Don Gawick, C&J's president and
chief executive officer.
