Texas Agency Approves Preferred Proppants' Plan
RADNOR, PA.-Preferred Proppants
LLC has received a certificate of inclusion
into the Texas conservation plan for the
dunes sagebrush lizard. The Texas Comptroller for Public Accounts issued the
certificate for Preferred's West Texas sand
mines, which are under construction, the
company says.
Texas established the conservation
plan in 2012 to protect the dunes sagebrush
lizard's habitat while facilitating continued
economic activity in the Permian Basin.
"Preferred has a long history of being
leaders in conservation in the areas where
we operate," says Michael O'Neill, the
company's founder and chief executive
officer. "Whether it's protecting nesting
areas of the piping plover or least tern at
our Nebraska facility, or the various other
species we have cared for in our many
years as a brownfield developer, environmentally sustainable best practices are
part of the fabric of our company culture."
As the first sand company to file air
permits for its West Texas projects, Pre-

ferred says it specifically chose mining
locations with the best sand quality that
also had a minimal chance of lizard occurrence.

Of Well Spacing Information
AUSTIN-Drillinginfo announces acquisition of Oklahoma City-based OilLaw Records, one of the United States'
first oil and gas information providers.
