Babst Calland Relocates
Its Office In Washington
WASHINGTON-The law firm of Babst
Calland has moved its Washington office
to a new location, at 505 9th St. NW,
Suite 700.
"Our team of attorneys in the Washington,
office welcomes the move," comments
James Curry, transportation safety attorney
and managing shareholder of Babst Calland's
D.C. office. "The new space will accommodate our growth while enabling us to
continue to serve current and new clients."
Babst Calland opened a Washington
office in January 2016, it says, representing
clients throughout the United States on matters relating to pipeline safety and transporting
hazardous materials. The firm expanded its
D.C. team in 2017 to support clients in a
broader range of transportation safety issues,
including its motor vehicle safety, regulatory
and compliance practice.

Emerson Buys Paradigm To Offer Reservoir Insight
ST. LOUIS-Emerson has agreed to acquire oil and gas software provider Paradigm® for $510 million, a multiple of 13
times expected 2017 earnings before interest,
taxes, depreciation and amortization.
Alongside Emerson's Roxar software
business, Paradigm creates a best-in-class,
end-to-end exploration, drilling and production software portfolio with offerings
spanning seismic processing and interpretation to production modeling, Emerson
says. With Paradigm's offerings, including
its machine learning and cloud-computing
capabilities, the company says it will be
even better at helping oil and gas operators
increase efficiencies, reduce costs and
improve returns on investment.

Expro Offers Perforator For Extreme Pressures
ABERDEEN, UNITED KINGDOM-
Expro has launched an extreme high
pressure tubing-conveyed perforating
gun system it says delivers the largest
perforation hole area available for fracture
and gravel pack completions.
Designed for challenging deepwater
environments in the Gulf of Mexico, the
Extreme Pressure Series 30,000 psi TCP
gun employs super big hole charge technology to support best-in-class area open
to flow (AOF), Expro says. Assuming a
casing size between 7 and 73⁄4 inches,
the gun's 43⁄4-inch version will achieve
an AOF between 6 and 7 inches. Casing
sizes between 95⁄8 and 103⁄4 inches call
for the 65⁄8-inch version, Expro says, reporting it delivers a market-leading AOF
ranging from 13 to 15 inches.

Expro developed the system in collaboration with high-performance gun
system provider GEODynamics, it says.
It is complemented by Expro's fully
rated dual hydraulic firing heads and
drill stem testing tools for underbalanced
perforating applications, which the company says deliver efficient completions
and optimal well performance.

Navitas Calls On Quorum
For Upgrade Of Software
HOUSTON-Navitas Midstream Partners LLC has enhanced its natural gas
gathering and processing systems by
adding additional Quorum midstream capabilities, including measurement for natural gas and liquids processing, Quorum
reports.
"Quorum takes great pride in leading
software innovation for midstream oil
and gas, and our solutions encompass
more than 20 years of experience serving
the industry," says Perry Turbes, the company's president and chief executive officer. "It is a privilege to work with
Navitas as it enhances its natural gas
processing systems with Quorum's measurement software."
Navitas decided to replace its measurement system two years ago, relates
Gokul Das, Navitas vice president and
chief information officer. He says the
company reached out to Quorum to
streamline its gas and liquids measurement
into a single platform.
The conversion process was executed
well, Navitas says, going live after a
four-month implementation that included
full data conversion from the previous
software. The Quorum measurement system implemented in September 2017 has
already exceeded the expected results,
the company adds.
