Flowco SCADA System
Offers Reliability, Speed
HOUSTON-Flowco Production Solutions has launched the LiftSight cloudbased SCADA system.
According to the company, the system provides power, security, reliability
and customization at a lower cost than
traditional alternatives. Flowco says it
offers true supervisory control at the
wellhead, plus remote monitoring and
control of tank levels, chemical injection, gas volumes, pressures, temperatures, flow rates, compressor set points,

downhole gauge data and more.
To provide reliable data transmission
and support rapid data polling, the system
uses Message Queuing Telemetry Transport, a lightweight messaging protocol
that Flowco says is optimized for bandwidth-constrained or unreliable networks. MQTT is scalable and easily can
connect one or more remote sites to a
central location, Flowco assures.
The LiftSight platform features a store
and forward function through which data
is logged locally in the modem as well as
a secure digital memory card, then automatically pushed to the cloud if the com-

munication system malfunctions, Flowco
mentions. The company says this feature
enables remote hosts, data connectivity
and transmissions, even if the direct connection to the host is lost.
LiftSight sends data to the Microsoft®
Azure™ cloud environment to ensure the
data is safe and available 24/7, Flowco
says. The company points out that users
can interact with the data through PCs,
mobile devices, Web browsers or dedicated applications.

The Southern Gas Association has
named Suzanne Ogle to succeed Chief
Executive Officer William N. Cantrell,
who is retiring.
Ogle previously served as SGA's
president and chief operating officer. She
has 25 years of oil and gas experience,
including more than a decade of membership and volunteer leadership with the
Independent Petroleum Association of
America. Ogle is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute, the
Public Relations Society of America and
the Women's Energy Network.
Cantrell will continue to support
SGA as a liaison for the Gas Machinery
Research Council and the associate
members, and as an instructor for the
Natural Gas Champion program, an initiative developed during his tenure. ❒
Whiting Petroleum Corporation has
named Correne S. Loeffler its chief financial officer.
Loeffler has 14 years of financial experience in the oil and gas industry. She
previously served as vice president of finance and treasurer for Callon Petroleum Co. Before joining Callon, Loeffler
was executive director with JP Morgan

The GPA Midstream Association has
appointed Joel Moxley president and
chief executive officer.
Before his appointment, Moxley
served as chief commercial officer for
Southcross Energy Partners/Southcross
Holdings, where he oversaw the company's gas gathering, gas treating, gas
processing, natural gas liquids fractionation and gas and natural gas liquids marketing assets in Texas, Mississippi and
Alabama. Prior to Southcross, he led
Crestwood Equity Partners as senior vice
president of operations services and
served as chief operating officer for
Crestwood Midstream Partners.
Moxley served GPA Midstream as
chairman of the board from 2013-2015,
during which time the association opened
a Washington, D.C., office to increase its
involvement in federal legislative and regulatory issues. He also led a strategic review of the association in 2016-2017. ❒

Business advisory provider Opportune LLP has named Randy Osterberg
managing director. From the company's
Dallas office, he will drive prospect
generation and client retention efforts.
Osterberg joins Opportune with 35
years of energy experience. His past
roles include senior managing director
with MUFG Union Bank's energy
group, where he led deal teams that
acted as lead arranger and administrative agent on credit facilities for both
large public independents and private
equity-backed companies. He began his
career with First City National Bank of
Houston, First Interstate Bank and NationsBank.

Patrick Conroy to principal.
Since joining the firm in 2015, Conroy has managed numerous aspects of
Intervale's energy products and services
company portfolio. He currently serves
as a director of Enercorp Sand Solutions, Pro Oil and Gas Services and
Certus Energy Solutions. Prior to Intervale, Conroy worked in the global natural resources investment banking
group at Goldman Sachs & Co.
