KPS Capital Partners Buys Lufkin From Baker Hughes
NEW YORK-KPS Capital Partners
LP reports it has signed a definitive agreement with Baker Hughes to acquire
Lufkin.
Lufkin is a global provider of rod lift
products, technologies, services and solutions, including automated control and
optimization equipment and software for
rod lift equipment. Formed in 1902, the
company manufactures a complete line
of surface pumping units, downhole sucker
rod pumps and automation systems in
six manufacturing and assembly facilities
worldwide, KPS describes.

For Reservoir Expertise

Shell Contracts Danos To Staff Gulf Platforms
GRAY, LA.-Danos has been awarded
a contract with Shell Exploration and
Production Co. to provide a workforce
across Shell production assets in the
Gulf of Mexico, including Appomattox,
Auger, Enchilada, Salsa, Mars, Ursa,
Olympus, Perdido and Stones.
The three-year contract will employ
144 Danos personnel, the company
says, including crane operators, control
room and process operators, electricians,
electronic technicians,
instrument technicians,
logistics and on-site
supervisors.
