Milestone Obtains Permit For Haynesville Landfill
HOUSTON-Milestone Environmental
Services LLC announces it has acquired
an energy waste landfill permit in the
Haynesville Shale for disposing of nonhazardous
waste streams generated from
oil and gas operations.
The permitted location is in Panola County,
Tx., about 11 miles southeast of Carthage,
Tx., and 18 miles northeast of Milestone's
active slurry injection facility outside Center,
Tx., Milestone details. The company says
development plans are underway for the
site, which ultimately will be expanded to
include integrated slurry injection and landfill
waste management operations.
" The increased use of natural gas is
one of the most impactful green initiatives
on the planet, " assesses Milestone President
and Chief Executive Officer Gabriel Rio.
" The Haynesville Shale continues to be
one of the most prolific natural gas basins
in the United States, and Milestone is excited
to expand our infrastructure in the
basin to enable our customers to increase
their gas production in an environmentally
responsible manner. "
Rio adds that the Panola facility will
help prevent soil and groundwater contamination
and reduce operators' greenhouse
gas emissions.

Oil & Gas Association Recognizes Ariel Leaders
COLOMBUS, OH.-Ariel Corp.
founder Jim Buchwald and his daughter,
former Ariel Chief Executive Officer
Karen Buchwald Wright, have been inducted
into the 2022 Ohio Oil and Gas
Association Hall of Fame.
OOGA established the Hall of Fame
award in 1987 to recognize honorees
from all levels and disciplines of the oil
and gas industry who have made significant
contributions to the industry,
Ariel describes.
Jim began his career working for Cooper-Bessemer
from 1954 to 1958, then
spent eight years with White Superior
before founding Ariel Corp. in Mount
Vernon, Oh., in 1966. During his tenure,
Ariel says it set new standards for reliability
and cost-effectiveness, brought nearly 20
compressor models to market and manufactured
13,000 units. Jim retired in 1998
after leading the company for 32 years.
Following her father as CEO, president
and chairman, Karen led Ariel to
20 years of growth and modernization,
Ariel relates. Under her leadership, the
company reports it produced nearly
45,000 compressors shipping to more
than 100 countries and delivering costefficient,
clean energy worldwide.

Hunting Shaped Charges
Aim To Simplify Plugging
HOUSTON-The Titan division of
Hunting Energy Services, a subsidiary
of Hunting PLC, has introduced a line of
circulating shaped charges designed to
improve cement placement during well
plugging and abandonment operations.
Building on the first generation of
KnockOut circulation (puncher) shaped
charges, the KnockOut 360° circulating
shaped charge eliminates the earlier version's
requirement for a zero-phased gun
configuration, Titan describes. That requirement
could limit the area open to
flow and coverage required for a reliable
cement plug, the company explains.
The KnockOut 360° system can be
run in a phased gun configuration to perforate
360 degrees of the inner tubing,
leaving the outer casing with minimal
controlled damage regardless of primary
to secondary casing orientation, Titan
says. According to the company, this
makes it the ideal circulating shaped
charge line for P&A applications.
The charges provide consistent entry
holes in the inner tubing to maximize
open flow area and perfect cement distribution,
Titan adds.

TechnipFMC Gets Contract
For Halten East's Tiebacks
HOUSTON-TechnipFMC announces
it has received an engineering, procurement,
construction and installation contract
from Equinor for subsea tiebacks for the
Halten East development on the Norwegian
Continental Shelf.
The contract covers flowline manuAriel

the company evolve into an organization that employs more than 1,000 people across the
globe. To honor both leaders' contributions to the oil and gas industry, the Ohio Oil & Gas
