Coretrax Breaks Record
direct access to real-world cost and schedule
benchmarks, IPA reports. According to
the company, TrueCost delivers accuracy
and confidence unachievable with traditional
tools by leveraging a proprietary capital
projects database built over 30 years with
contributions from real exploration, drilling
and production project teams.
This database covers $5 trillion in
capital projects from more than 500 companies
in more than 100 countries, IPA
says, adding that it has benchmarked
more than 25,000 projects with costs
ranging from $100,000 to $40 billion.
Unlike data from public sources, the company
says, the data is validated and normalized
to maximize accuracy and trust.
TrueCost's interface employs design elements
from online shopping, allowing
users to filter selections by parameters such
as concept type, region, hydrocarbon type,
water depth, project state and authorization
year. Users then can compare a selection
of similar projects to see early phase unit
development cost metrics (such as spending
per barrel of oil equivalent) and cost and
schedule benchmarks, IPA details.

Corp. relates
it has delivered
a unique, space-saving
coiled tubing
(CT) reeler suite to
OneSubsea.
This
reel goes beyond
merely storing the
tubing, Logan says.
The company explains
that its winch
provides full torque
control for the tubing
without requiring
a standard injector
head, which reduces
space requirements.
According to Logan,
the compact design
can increase operator
profitability by
enabling more deck
space for hauling
fluid. Following several
sets of these
machines with fixed
drums, Logan says
the unit is its first
with a removable
drum, which keeps the footprint on the vessel static while the drums are taken to a shore
base for unspooling and respooling. The company adds that the swap-out drum simplifies
manufacturing, reducing typical assembly time for the drum and drive train from two

For Expandable Tubulars
HOUSTON-Coretrax reports it has
completed a world-record-breaking project
in the Utica Basin for a major gas operator
with its ReLine expandable technology.
The company relates that it successfully
has deployed the ReLine MNS system
across three wells, which involved expanding
more than 27,000 feet of tubulars. One of
the expandable liners reached 9,000 feet
in its expansion, and all three installations
smashed the previous record of 7,243 feet
by at least 1,000 feet, Coretrax says.
With ReLine MNS' ability to cover
each well integrity issue with a single
full-length liner, Coretax says, it achieved
much shorter setting times than traditional
solutions. The total setting time, from
beginning expansion to exiting the top of
the liner, took only 9 hours for each well
over seven days across the location, Coretax
details. The company mentions that
its expandables do not use a shoe, which
saves time by eliminating the need to
drill out the shoe after well integrity
issues have been isolated.
