NOG Closes Purchase
Of Bolt-On Properties
In Delaware Basin
MINNEAPOLIS-Northern Oil and
Gas Inc. says it has closed the
acquisition of nonoperated interests in
the Northern Delaware Basin that the
company announced in late September.
According to the company, NOG and
Alpha Energy Partners finalized the deal
on Dec. 1 for a closing settlement of
$155.1 million in cash, which includes a
$17.5 million deposit paid at signing in
September 2022.
" These assets are poised to deliver
substantial growth over the coming
years, with some of the lowest cost
inventory we have acquired, tied to our
top operators in the Permian, " remarks
NOG President Adam Dirlam. " We
remain focused on our mission to
allocate capital efficiently, grow our
enterprise to bolster long-term returns
on capital employed, and increase
shareholder returns in kind. " ❒
Gas Storage Ends 2022
Almost 7% Below
Five-Year Average
WASHINGTON-Underground
natural gas storage in the United States
stood at 2.891 trillion cubic feet on Dec.
30, 6.7% below the five-year average,
according to the U.S. Energy
Information Administration. That was
down 592 billion cubic feet from the
3.483 Tcf in storage on Nov. 25 and 308
Bcf lower than a year ago, when gas
storage stood at 3.199 Tcf.
Gas storage in the East Region was
691 Bcf on Dec. 30, 6.6% below the
five-year average, and 149 Bcf less than
on Nov. 25, when storage stood at 840
Bcf, 3.2% below the five-year average.
East Region gas storage on Dec. 30 fell
77 Bcf from a year ago, EIA reports.
In the Midwest, gas storage stood at
839 Bcf on Dec. 30, 4.2% beneath the
five-year average and 201 Bcf less than
the 1.040 Tcf in storage on Nov. 25,
which was 0.3% below the five-year
average. Dec. 30 Midwest gas storage
was 58 Bcf less than a year ago.
In the Mountain Region, EIA
continues, gas storage was 157 Bcf on
Dec. 30, 9.2% below the five-year
average and 40 Bcf below the 197 Bcf
stored on Nov. 25, which was 5.3%
below the five-year average. Dec. 30 gas
storage in the Mountain Region was 16
Bcf less than a year ago.
The Pacific Region's gas in storage
was 165 Bcf on Dec. 30, 33.2% below
the five-year average and 61 Bcf below
the 226 Bcf stored on Nov. 25, which
was 21.5% below the five-year average.
Pacific Region gas storage on Dec. 30
was down 56 Bcf from a year ago.
In the South-Central Region, gas
storage levels on Dec. 30 were 1.040
Tcf, 2.2% below the five-year average
and 141 Bcf less than the 1.181 Tcf in
storage on Nov. 25, which was 1.7%
above the five-year average. The Dec.
30 gas storage level for the SouthCentral
Region was down 308 Bcf from
a year ago. ❒
