SLB Allies With Palo Alto To Improve Cybersecurity
HOUSTON-SLB and cybersecurity
firm Palo Alto Networks say they are expanding
their collaboration to strengthen
the energy sector's cybersecurity.
The companies will combine SLB's
cloud and edge technologies and domain
expertise in the energy industry with Palo
Alto Networks' cross-industry, platformbased
cybersecurity solutions, the partners
outline. They say this will not only help
SLB remain on the forefront with its own
security infrastructure, but also help drive
future enhanced solutions to address
evolving cyberthreats as the industry's
adoption of digital solutions and artificial
intelligence accelerates.
As part of the collaboration, SLB indicates
it will integrate Palo Alto NetCorva,
Core Geologic Ally
works' Precision AI™-powered cybersecurity
platforms, including Prisma®
SASE, Prisma Cloud and Cortex XSIAM®
,
into its technology stack. These
platforms will help SLB achieve comprehensive
security across its network,
cloud and edge platforms, enabling thousands
of domain and AI users on SLB's
Delfi™ digital platform to collaborate
in a safe and secure environment, the
company says.
The two companies add that they will
develop and implement solutions for edge
products and services, which will be critical
as more energy customers move toward
automated and autonomous operations.

hired Kevin Slagle as its new senior vice
president of communications. He will
oversee all communications for API's integrated
advocacy efforts, including the
multiyear Lights on Energy campaign to
educate voters and policymakers about

and cleaner energy.
Slagle has more than two decades of
experience in the oil and natural gas industry.
He previously served as vice president
of strategy and communications for the
Western States Petroleum Association,
and held leadership roles at global public
relations firms, such as Oglivy Public
Relations and Edelman.

named Micah " Clint " Green president
and chief executive officer.
Green previously served as group
senior vice president of construction
and project execution at Energy Transfer.
He has more than 25 years of industry
experience and began holding leadership
positions at Energy Transfer in 2015,
when he joined the partnership through
its merger with Regency Energy Partners.
Before coming to Energy Transfer, he
worked at Hanover Compression, CDM
