Commissioning Underway
For Dune Express System
AUSTIN, TX.-Atlas Energy Solutions
Inc. has begun commissioning the Dune
Express, a 42-mile, fully electric conveyor
system designed to transform proppant
logistics in the Permian Basin. In early
October, Atlas said the system remained
on-time and on-budget, with commercial
transportation of proppant into the Delaware
Basin scheduled to begin in late Q4.
" We are just months away from beginning
to realize our goal of taking thousands
of trucks off public roads, making the
Permian Basin a safer, more reliable, and
environmentally cleaner place to live and
work, " says John Turner, the company's

SPOC
Makes Inc. 5000 List For Fast Revenue Growth
TRUSSVILLE, AL.-SPOC has been
named to the 2024 Inc. 5000 list, a ranking
of the fastest-growing private companies
in America. The company points out that
this is the fourth time in 10 years it has
earned that distinction.
The Inc. 5000 list honors businesses
of all sizes based on their percentage
revenue growth over a three-year period,
SPOC says, noting that past recipients
include iconic brands such as Microsoft,
Timberland, Intuit, Oracle and Patagonia.
This year, SPOC is ranked 1,429th on
the list with a three-year revenue growth
of 359%. The company says its innovative
approach to hybrid energy has not only
enhanced the efficiency and sustainability
of its products, but also driven significant
revenue growth.
Firms Reprocess Seismic Covering North Sea Fields
PARIS-Viridien and its partners TGS
and Aquila Holdings ASA (under its subsidiary
Axxis Multi-client AS) announce
they have finished reprocessing the Utsira
ocean bottom node seismic survey in the
Norwegian North Sea. The partners say
the reprocessing project has received significant
industry support and leverages
strong demand for high-definition seismic
imaging in this highly prospective area.
Utsira is the largest OBN survey conducted
on the Norwegian Continental
Shelf and required more than 144,000
nodes and more than 5.5 million shots.
Covering 2,077 square kilometers (1,290
miles) in a mature part of the North Sea,
the survey was acquired in 2018 and
2019, with the initial processing results
delivered in 2020, the partners recount.
Viridien indicates it reprocessed the
resulting dataset with its latest OBN
imaging technologies, including timelag
full-waveform inversion, and advanced
velocity model building techniques,
to yield significant improvements
in image resolution and frequency content
for fault interpretation and reservoir
characterization workflows.

where data has recently been reprocessed,
holds several significant
oil and gas fields, including Edvard

well as numerous undeveloped discoveries
and prospects.

Aminzadeh Offers Course
On Using AI In Oil & Gas
HOUSTON-FACT Corp. announces
a new course based on " Artificial Intelligence
and Data Analytics for Energy Exploration
and Production, " a pioneering
book written by three authorities on applying
data science and AI techniques to
exploration, drilling and production.
Participants will learn the essential
techniques and tools used in " smart oil
fields, " such as pattern recognition,
neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary
computing, expert systems, machine
learning, human-computer interfaces,
natural language processing, data analytics,
" Big Data " concepts and visualization,
FACT outlines.
The company adds that participants
will gain an overall understanding of
AI and ML applications for oil and gas
from the perspectives of both geoscientists
and petroleum or reservoir engineers.
These applications range from exploration,
drilling and well completions to
reservoir characterization, production
forecasting, field development, artificial
lift optimization and enhanced oil recovery,
FACT says.
The course can be given in house or
as a public course for a local professional
society. It is intended for professionals
(both technical and management) working
in the oil and gas industry, as well as IT
experts and data scientists, FACT describes.
The material spans five or 10
days, FACT says, noting that it can customize
topics to meet specific needs.
The instructor is Fred Aminzadeh,
who has spent decades applying AI and
data analytics to oil and gas problems.
