APA Lengthens Contract
With AI Company Palantir
DENVER-Palantir Technologies Inc.,
a builder of artificial intelligence systems,
and APA Corp. announce a multiyear,
multimillion-dollar extension to an enterprise
agreement originally signed in
2021. The agreement builds on work deployed
across APA's global portfolio over
the past three years and introduces new
artificial intelligence capabilities with
Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform
(AIP) software, the company says.
During the past three years, Palantir relates
it has partnered with APA to deploy
the software across use cases as varied as
operational planning, supply chain management,
maintenance planning, production
optimization and contract management.
The AI company indicates its software has
enabled APA to move quickly on opportunities
across their portfolio, including newly
acquired assets. Palantir adds that it has
helped APA improve production equipment
reliability through real-time monitoring,
optimize raw material logistics, and leverage
AIP across contract and invoice documents
to detect anomalies against source systems.

With Tall Oak Acquisition
HOUSTON-Summit Midstream
Corp. subsidiary Summit Midstream Partners
LP has agreed to acquire Tall Oak
Midstream Operating LLC and its subsidiaries
from an affiliate of Tailwater
Capital LLC for a mix of cash and equity
consideration.
According to Summit, the acquisition
expands the company's Arkoma Basin
operations by 440 million cubic feet a
day of processing capacity, more than
400 miles of pipelines and more than
300,000 of dedicated acres with significant
undeveloped locations.
Summit says it expects the transaction
will close before the end of the year. ❒
ChampionX Upgrades Permian Chemical Facility
THE WOODLANDS, TX.-ChampionX
says it has completed a multimillion-dollar
transformative project designed
to enhance its chemical manufacturing
hub in the Permian Basin. The company
presents the project as a key initiative to
meet industry demands while reducing
interplant transportation and associated
carbon emissions by approximately 56.7
tons of carbon dioxide a year.
The major enhancements to ChampionX's
manufacturing plant in Odessa,
Tx., include installing state-of-the-art
automation and packaging technologies,
such as an automated tote and drum
filling station, the company details.
ChampionX says it collaborated with a
leading liquid filling and conveyor systems
company to deliver an optimized
chemical filler system that is ergonomic,
safe and efficient.

strengthens our position in the Permian
Basin as a global leader in
production chemistry solutions,
providing industry-leading
technology and unmatched
specialty manufacturing capabilities
closer to our customer

ChampionX has enhanced its
manufacturing plant in Odessa,

The company says the Permian Basin
region has seen a nearly 10% year-onyear
increase in customer demand for

inhibitors, biocides and hydrogen sulfide
solutions. It indicates that the plant's
new filler technology enables a 10%
productivity increase.
As well as reducing freight and emissions,
ChampionX says it is decreasing
material handling and repackaging, consolidating
its warehouse footprint and
improving its ability to provide an agile
service with short lead times to meet
customer's dynamic operations demands.
