CFI LETTERS NOTES LETTERS THERE I WAS... CO POISONING-WAKING UP Thank you for the last issue of CFI to CFI! I always enjoy and greatly benefit from these publications. I did find one error/ confusing sentence in the article on CO poisoning that I'd like to bring up just for the sake of precision. The sentence reads, "...the carbon monoxide builds up in your bloodstream replacing your red blood cells." That may just be a confusing statement, but for anyone who is foggy on understanding CO poisoning, I'd hate for this to create a wrong impression. CO doesn't replace red blood cells, but rather blocks the attachment points for oxygen molecules by "sitting in their seats." Thank you again for a great publication! -Ella Bookman Appreciate your observation and thanks for clarifying. -Editor "ONE OF THE GREAT TREATS I LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY FEW MONTHS IS AOPA'S CFI-TO-CFI NEWSLETTER.
