CHART CHALLENGE Rocket Science or Space Race? CONTINUED Space Coast Regional Airport (KTIX) in Titusville, Florida. You can find KCSM on the Dallas Ft. Worth Sectional Chart and KTIX on the Jacksonville Sectional Chart (click on the accompanying chart images to get a better look). Both KCSM and KTIX are public-use airports. KCSM's Oklahoma Air and Space Port is the controlling agency for the Infinity One Spaceflight Corridor-the first FAA approved corridor in the U.S. National Airspace System for flight operations not within restricted airspace or Military Operating Areas. KTIX is the latest site to receive an FAA spaceport license, although the airport currently does not have any companies who have agreed to launch from there. If you plan on touring the Florida east coast by air to ogle the NASA Shuttle Landing Facility (TTS) and Cape Canaveral AFS Skid Strip (XMR), pay close attention to their restricted airspace status. TTS and XMR are strictly privateuse airports so don't plan on just dropping in for the fun of it. Both require prior permission and are for official business only. Space Coast Regional Airport and Cape Canaveral Launch Pads Please check NOTAMs for any TFRs issued to divert air traffic from areas where space operations are scheduled.
