AOPA'S FLIGHT TRAINING ADVANTAGE

an easier way to keep track of lessons for your
clients while also structuring their training to

flight training application that can help
your students see the big picture while allowing
you to customize their training and maintain
their records more easily.
AOPA's Flight Training Advantage (AFTA) is
an adaptive program that uses your students'
progress on past lessons to automatically
generate new individualized lessons for them. It
helps them be ready for each lesson
by assigning them preparation
work for each part of the upcoming
lesson including references to FAA
source materials. Additionally,
each student can track their
progress through AFTA's student
web portal. They will be able to
see what they have already learned, what will
be covered in their next lesson, and where they
stand in the overall course. Total transparency
in the training process for them!
You might wonder whether this is just
another place that you need to record student
information, but the great thing is AFTA's
CFI iPad portion is designed to be used in the
cockpit. You can customize their lesson to best
fit your student's and the day's conditions. You
can record their performance as they fly or just
take notes and complete the grading process
during the lesson debrief. AFTA will keep a
record of flight times and all of your lesson
notes for you and your student! Not only can
AFTA help you keep records straight, but it also
features a wealth of information in its Activity
Index to help you teach, including the ACS
standards, associated homework, teaching tips,
and suggestions for correcting common errors
students may make!

Whether you instruct at a flight school or teach
independently, AFTA's web-based owner portal
provides quick access to both student and
instructor performance stats. And if you ever need
to have another instructor cover your student
while you are away from the " office, " AFTA makes
it a snap to temporarily transfer a student to
another CFI. Access to AFTA's detailed student
training records takes the mystery out of where
that student is in their training. It's all geared
to help you deliver an efficient and high quality
training experience for your students.
