GIVING BACK AS AN AOPA
FLY-IN VOLUNTEER

s you probably have heard, AOPA is meeting
members where they fly this year in a series
of one-day regional fly-ins at seven airports
throughout the country (www.aopa.org/flyins). One may be in your own backyard. If so, join us for
day of flying, friends, food, and fun.
The fly-ins are venues for fun, learning, good fellowship, and they also present an
opportunity to give back as a volunteer. Volunteers are one of the critical ingredients of a
successful fly-in, and they make it possible to conduct a fun, safe, and well-organized event.
We seek volunteers who have the skills to take on any of the following activities: event
set-up, parking aircraft, managing the flow of aircraft and attendees, directing ground
transportation, greeting guests, and event tear-down. We promise that whatever the task,
you'll find it to be rewarding and exciting. When your shift is completed, enjoy the rest of
the day with your fellow pilots.
As a fly-in volunteer crew member, you'll receive lunch, a fly-in volunteer T-shirt,
and an AOPA hat. Plus, you'll have AOPA's deepest appreciation as well as the gratitude
of your fellow pilots.
