It's about staying engaged with hundreds of state agencies and legislatures. It's about
maintaining a network of pilots to monitor thousands of airports. It's about putting the
combined weight of hundreds of thousands of pilots behind you. Among hundreds of
issues we face every day, these are some our most important:
Getting the lead out
We all agree that it's time to remove
lead from all aviation fuels. It's just as
important that this transition is done in
a way that works for the entire general
aviation fleet-safely, economically,
practically, and efficiently.
Egregious FBO pricing
As a result of complaints of egregious
pricing at some fixed-base operators,
AOPA works to ensure that public
airports owned by all of us provide fair
pricing and access to all aircraft and
pilots. Unfair pricing practices and costprohibitive
airport access can severely
affect all aspects of general aviation.
AOPA Airport Support Network
Our volunteers help pilots protect,
preserve, and promote their airports.

Keeping GA supporters in Congress
General aviation faces more regulation,
fees, and taxes every day. There is a way to
make every pilot's voice heard, by supporting
those in Congress who support GA.
UAS and drones
AOPA focuses a great deal of attention on
the efforts to promote the safe integration
and operation of unmanned aircraft
within the National Airspace System.
Action in the states
AOPA has representatives across the country
working for pilots in the state houses,
city councils, and community outreach.
